When I was in first grade, an epidemic of the measles swept through the school — making everyone except the one or two kids who had already had it — sick. Just two years or so later, they began innoculating for measles and I have never heard of any such thing since.

I get my flu shots every year so I won't get sick and won't spread influenza.

I've seen Smallpox eradicated in my lifetime—that was because of vaccinations!
