Yo tuve la desgracia de perder a un hijo (por una enfermedad que no se puede prevenir por vacunación) y no quisiera perder otro. Decidí vacunar a mi hija de 9 años y mi hijo de 3 años para asegurarles una vida saludable. Cada vez que una vacuna nueva está autorizada, estoy muy complacida y llena de esperanza porque tendré una preocupación menos al proteger a mis hijos contra una enfermedad más.

Estoy firmemente convencida que las vacunas, cuya eficacia y seguridad ya han sido ampliamente comprobadas, son el mayor logro de la salud pública del siglo pasado. Me siento agradecida de vivir en una época y un país que le brindan a mi familia la oportunidad de vacunar y un verdadero regalo de salud.

English translation:
I already lost one child (to something unrelated to vaccine
preventable diseases). I do not want to lose another. I vaccinated
my now 9-year-old and 3-year-old daughter and son to ensure they could get the best chance to stay healthy. Every time a new vaccine is invented I am ecstatic at the thought that my children will be immune to yet another vaccine preventable disease. I firmly believe vaccines are the greatest and safest public health and medical achievement in the past century. I feel grateful that I live in an era and country that can offer my family that gift of health.
